Mary Jane Manuel

Lake Charles/LeBleu Settlement-Mary Jane Manuel, 61, passed away in her residence on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

Born in Jennings, Mary was the daughter of the late Roy “Jack” and Rosetta (LeBleu) Hebert. She was a graduate of Iowa High and was employed as a beautician for many years. Mary was a member of New Hope Assembly of God of Kinder. She loved spending time with her family and never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Perry Manuel; son, John Manuel (Sommer) of Lake Charles; daughter, Loretta LeBleu (Richard) of Lacassine; brother, Jerry Hebert (Maggie) of Lake Charles; sisters, Doris Chesson of Lake Charles and Geraldine Schexnider of Kinder. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Courtney LeBleu, Daisy LeBleu, Tonja and Cody LeBleu, Ethan James Manuel and Brianna Hebert and great grandchildren, Kason and Kemper Faul, Caleb and Madison Stelly and James LeBleu. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, John Garrett Manuel.

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 28, 2014  at 10 a.m.  in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Gus Rodrique officiating. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
